The Lamprechtalm hut in Nockberge National Park
Welcome to the Lamprechtalm hut – the most traditional alpine hut in the Nockberge Mountains. It is idyllically located near two alpine lakes at 1700m above sea level in the heart of the Nockberge range. The Lamprechtalm (200 ha) including the original Lamprecht hut belongs to the Mayer family from the Wellness Farm. The hut is used for serving refreshments and meals to hikers, for dairy farming and for hunting. It is an unforgettable experience for anyone, who has ever hiked this unique and magnificent alpine country. If the Lamprecht hut could talk, it would have a lot to say. It’s been there for over 300 years.
Today, the alpine hut has lost none of the nostalgic splendor and flair of past times. Here you breathe the mountain air that our ancestors breathed. Our mother Krimhilde works the alpine pastures the entire summer long. She keeps over 100 head of cattle. Every hiker who stops at the Lamprecht hut for a small meal receives a warm welcome from Mother Krimhilde. She pampers her guests with delicacies of the alpine pastures: fresh milk from our own cows, homemade butter, delicious cheese, bacon, trout and all sorts of homemade products from our farm.
